Colloque International “L’interculturalité à travers la linguistique, la littérature et la traduction”

Le 29 mars à l’Université Libre Internationale de Moldova, Salle Aula Magnifica, a eu lieu le colloque international “L’interculturalité à travers la linguistique, la littérature et la traduction”, qui est à sa 7-e édition.

Cette année le colloque a été organisé en partenariat avec l’Université Sorbonne Paris-IV, Paris, France, suite à un accord passé entre l’Institut de Recherche Philologiques et Interculturelles avec le Centre de Recherches en Littératures Comparées de la Sorbonne Paris-IV, dirigé par le professeur François Moureau. Le colloque a réuni cette fois des chercheurs francophones et hispanophones de la France, la Roumanie, l’Arménie, la Pologne, la Russie, l’Albanie, le Canada, la Serbie, la Cote d’Ivoire. L’organisation du colloque a été soutenue financièrement par ULIM,  l’Agence Univeritaire de la Francophonie et l’Ambassade de France en République de Moldova.

En séance plénière les participants au colloque ont été salués par le recteur de l’ULIM M.Andrei Galben, le responsable de l’Antenne AUF de Chisinau M.Roman Kwiatkowski, Mme Elena Prus, Directrice de l’ICPhI (ULIM).

International conference “Moldova-Ukraine: 20 years of diplomatic relations”

On Friday, 16th of March, in the Aula Magnifica, 4th floor, there was organized the international conference entitled: “Moldova – Ukraine: 20 years of diplomatic relations”.

During the conference there were discussed the following issues: the building-up and main stages of development of  bilateral  political  relations between Moldova and Ukraine, development of bilateral cooperation in cultural, humanitarian and economic field, as well as the main achievements obtained so far and the priority actions for the future years. Signing of the agreement of collaboration between the Free International University of Moldova and Ghimcheon University, South Korea

On Friday, 17th of  February, in the Senate Room, the signing of the collaboration agreement between Ghimcheon University and ULIM took place. The cooperation agreement was signed by Mr. Andrei GALBEN, Academician, Rector ULIM and Mrs. Kang SUNG-AE, President of Ghimcheon University. The purpose of the agreement is the mutual exchange of students and specialists and the implementation of various research programs.

During the visit, Mrs. Kang SUNG-AE, had a meeting with Mr. Andrei GALBEN and Mr. Nicolae ŢÂU – Vice-rector for International Cooperation and discussed various aspects regarding the implementation of the cooperation agreement. The event was also attended by Mrs. Kang SAM YI, President of the Korea Association in Ukraine and Mr. Lee HEECHUN, Director of the International Relations Department, Ghimcheon University.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Center of  Korean Language and Culture from ULIM and the Embassy of South Korea at Kiev.

Chinese New Year at ULIM

It has already become a tradition that the Republic of Moldova and Chinese   people celebrate together the traditional festival “Chinese New Year”. During the last years, these two countries have expanded their cooperation relations and the Chinese culture has attracted Moldavian people. On this occasion, on February 7th this year, the Confucius Institute from the Free International University of Moldova, in partnership with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China,  organized an exceptional program for celebrating the  “Chinese New Year”, which is also called “Spring Festival”. The event took place in the restaurant “Cupidon”

The students of the Confucius Institute presented an artistic program with elements of Chinese music and theater, with Chinese songs and dances, tea ceremony and Chinese calligraphy art. Among the many guests that attended this event were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China in the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Tong Mingtao; the Minister of Education of Republic of Moldova, Mr. Mihail Şleahtiţchi; the Rector of ULIM Mr. Andrei Galben; the General Director of Education, Youth and Sports from Chisinau, Mrs. Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb; the Vice-rector for International cooperation ULIM, Mr. Nicolae Ţâu; teachers from the Free International University of Moldova, Moldova State University, Technical University of Moldova, State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “N.Testemiţeanu”, State University “Ion Creanga” and other famous personalities.

The Confucius Institute from the Free International University of Moldova was established on September 29, 2009, as a result of partnership relations between ULIM and Northwest Normal University, Lanzhou, China. Is the unique institute of this kind in Republic of Moldova, its basic objective is to promote Chinese language and culture. The work program of the Institute comprises: teaching Chinese language and culture, qualification and training the teachers of Chinese language,  organization of cultural activities, providing  information about scholarships in China, promoting the Chinese art.

His Excellency Mr. Christian SCHOENENBERGER, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland in Ukraine and in the Republic of Moldova had a meeting with ULIM students

On Friday, February 3rd, at 14:00, in “Aula Switzerland”, room 424, 4th floor, H.E. Mr. Christian SCHOENENBERGER, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland in the Republic of Moldova, had a meeting with ULIM students and discussed about “What do ULIM students expect from life, society and European countries?”.

During the visit, His Excellency had a meeting with Mr. Andrei GALBEN, Rector of ULIM and Mr. Nicolae TAU, Vice-rector for International Cooperation and discussed different aspects of the present cooperation between the Swiss Embassy and ULIM.0.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova and with the Embassy of Switzerland at Kiev.
